Hi Cesky Wong, that is the first time I have heard it. Something fishy going on, you may wish to nicely ask them to provide photo evidence of each individual weight of “your” parcels to you. It might be possible they mix other parcels into your pile? You might reason with them if your items are just clothes or things that are not possible to be that heavy…? Good luck…

Hi Zack, I can confirm it is not possible to use taobao forwarder to ship power bank/rechargeable batteries/hand phone batteries (lithium) and etc. This means it’s quite unlikely to order tablet, handphone, ebook reader and etc from Taobao even though it is cheaper than Singapore or where you live.
For painting and artworks, it is possible. What you need to consider is the type of artworks, the price, the size/dimensions and etc. For e.g. Last time, I really wanted a Buddha/Guanyin statue (65cm, S$130 plus) for its fantastic porcelain sculpture, but I didn’t order it because it is easily breakable, also kinda heavy after extensive bubble wraps and Styrofoams for protections which adds to the shipping fee.
Also you gotta make sure the packaging does not exceed 120cm in length. E.g. If a flat framed painting is too wide, big and bulky, they may reject it from entering their warehouse, or sometimes, they may fail to let it be packed together with your consolidated goods and inform you to choose other shipping method (by sea) and etc.
If small paintings (e.g. 30cmx30cm type) for home decorations, should be alright. Just nothing too bulky that affects their packing. I am quite sure standard size wooden chairs and even coffee tables are not accepted either. Of course, best to ask 4px forwarder via their taobao chat message. I mention 4px cuz that’s they only one i trust and go for.
