I recently surf on taobao and found that Taobao Global Consolidation and Shipping supports Japan now.That means Japan shoppers can buy directly from taobao now.I don’t know if this is old news or not, but thought I’d share anyway with an overview of the ordering process and shipping rate.

    Thank you for your post. Apparently I want to buy several things on Taobao but I don’t know if there is any prohibited goods that couldn’t be shipped to Japan. I tried to go to the help centre but couldn’t really find anything related to that.

    Hey ERIC thank you for such a valuable information. Really appreciate it. I am beginner now. I would like to ask couple of things.

    1) Does 4PX shipping option mean direct from china to japan or do i have to need extra agents to combine my order and send to Japan.
    2) When I directly contact with supplier they are keep telling they don`t ship to Japan and they are asking to find agent.

      Hi,Jalol

      1) you dont need extra agents,4px will ship from China to Japan.
      2) most of the supplier dont know taobao official forwarding service,but it doesn’t matter as they will be shown a China address when you place order and choose consolidated shipping.so they don’t have to ship to Japan,they just need to ship to the China warehouse address.

    I tried to buy some pen refills recently using this consolidation shipping, but the warehouse told me they can’t ship them? Are pens something that aren’t allowed to be mailed in China?

    I want to buy a “wooden dummy” for Kung fu practice. It is about 1.6 meter tall, 30cm width. It weights about 50kg made out of wood.

    Do you thing is possible?
    I think seller will not care if they can ship or not just accept my purchase first then cannot ship will be a problem.

    They might be “able” to ship it to you directly now, but that doesn’t mean that it is cheaper to have it sent to you that way.

    For example, when I attempted to buy a coat and have it sent to Japan, it was 200RMB for direct shipping. Through a forwarder it was 100RMB.

    I have a question, I am trying to purchase a phone from Taobao to Japan but unfortunately while checking out, there is no option for me to select the forwarder, unlike buying any other stuff where there is an option for me to select.

    Does it means that the PRouter and 4PX are not shipping mobile phones to Japan?

      That option is disabled because mobile phone is electronic product containing lithium batteries.so both of them will not ship mobile phones to you.you need to find an agent that can ship mobile phones to Japan.

        I had tried many time to register for world Taobao. But when I input my japan mobile number, no SMS receive. I had check med with my moblie phone server. My Japan number can receive overseas messages. But only world Taobao can’t… I can’t register and buy from Taobao and send to Tokyo.. how??? Please help me.. Thank you so much.
