The rules of changing your mobile no./email address on Taobao:

  1. You can set up or edit your email address, but you cannot unregister it. An email address can only be used for one Taobao account.
  2. You can set up, edit or remove a mobile number.
  3. You must first set up your email address before you can remove any mobile number.
  4. One mobile number can be used by up to 6 Taobao accounts, but only one Taobao account can activate the mobile login. In other words, you can only have one account that can be logged in via the mobile, while the other accounts have to be logged in using your ID or email address.

Tip: If you are unable to edit your mobile number or email address, please contact taobao customer service and they’ll be happy to assist you.

          I changed my phone number on Alipay and it automatically signed me out from Taobao. Now I can’t access my Taobao account. The new phone number is not Chinese so I think it doesn’t recognize. I know I can register a new account, but I really need the old one. Is there anyway I can get it back?

        Face the same problem too. I cannot access my old phone number at all and need to change to the new one. But in order to do that, they still need the old number??
