Thanks for this post. I belatedly saw that you said it’s not advised to buy preorder items on our own but I’ve already paid for some items which won’t be shipped until September. What should I do now to ensure that I’ll be able to successfully get my items? If this is too difficult, how do I cancel my order? And if I cancel, do I get my money back?

Also, is the cost next to the shipping method, the domestic shipping cost? I chose Consolidated Shipping via Air which had 58 Yuan next to it but when I made the payment for my items, I noticed I was only charged the cost of my items and not this amount.

Hello Eric!
I’m sorry if this is a dumb question but where can I find the seller’s Aliwangwang ID or Wechat ID? Would you be able to show me a photo? I’m buying some products from the Youku Official Shop and I can’t seem to find any info about how to contact them directly if I have issues. Same with their refund rules. I can’t see any ‘cancel order’ option from my purchase history.

Before I found your page, I had already registered a different way using just my phone number. Is this sufficient? I don’t seem to have a password for my account and only the mobile login password function. I also don’t know how to add a password to my account because when I click on forgotten password it says it needs to verify my photo id to set up a new password… but I’ve only given them my mobile number. Do you know how I could set up a password?

So what I did was:
– clicked on buy now for an item
– it directed me to the tmall login page
– i clicked free registration
– it directed me to this taobao link to register with my phone number https://reg.taobao.com/member/reg/fast/union_reg?_regfrom=TB
– sent me a verification code
– and then i was registered. They told me what my nickname/username is, but that’s it. Nothing about setting up an account password.
